Welcome to Big Words, Little Kids

We are über passionate about the benefits of introducing little ones to big words early on. From the emotional gifts and the communication enhancement to strengthening the muscle power of a child’s very capable brain, we believe that weaving sophisticated words into your conversations with little ones can serve them in enormous ways for their entire lives — and help set them up for a lifetime of powerful communication.

Language serves its purpose when a message is understood. To that end, we advocate for simple, efficient sentences when communicating with children, and specifically advise peppering in more sophisticated, refined word choices only here and there.

We do not advocate for defining each and every word you sprinkle in. Rather, we believe in the amazing ability of children to figure out what words mean through the incredible, not-to-be-underestimated nature of language development.

Founded by Miss Whitaker, a mother who has been a language nerd since she was a kid and who has been blessing her child up with beautiful words since he was born.
